The mysterious creation of Allah is the stone, which is widely used in our daily work. Through this, just as he has created huge strong buildings in the heart of the earth, he has also provided drinking water to the people by cutting the chest of this strong stone. The Holy Qur’an says, ‘And remember when Musa asked for water for his people. I said, hit the rock with your stick. As a result, twelve springs flowed from it. Each tribe knew its own source of water. (I said): 'Eat and drink from the provision of Allah, and do not cause mischief in the land.' (Surat al-Baqara, Ayat: 60)
He will heat the fire of hell with stones again. It has been said in the Holy Qur'an, "So if you cannot do it and you will never be able to do it, then save yourself from the fire whose fuel is men and stones, which has been prepared for the disbelievers." (Surat al-Baqara, Ayat: 24)
To the people of the world, stone is just an inanimate object, having no sense, no ability to speak, no ability to see or hear. But Allah the Almighty has spoken with this stone and the Prophet (peace be upon him) has predicted that the stone will speak in the last age as well. Ali ibn Abu Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went out with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) to one of the ends of Makkah. He would pass by any mountain or tree, and they would greet him with 'As-Salamu Alaikum Ya Rasoolullah'. '(Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3627)
In another hadith, narrated from Abdullah bin Umar, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘You and the Jewish community will be at war with each other. At last the stone will say, O Muslim, this is the Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him. '(Muslim, Hadith: 6227)
Not only that, according to the commentary of the Prophet (peace be upon him), like other creations of Allah, the stone also observes our every action, in the hereafter this stone will also testify to our deeds. Narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Abu Sasah, Abu Saeed (RA) told me, when you are in the village or in the forest, call Azan loudly. Because I have heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say that whoever hears this call to prayer, jinn, people, trees and stones will bear witness for him (in the Hereafter). '(Ibn Majah, Hadith: 623)
Subhanallah, in this way Allah Almighty has engaged His innumerable creations in our service. We should give thanks to Allah Almighty at every moment. Otherwise these creations will testify against us.
